Wytheville Virginia, county seat of
Wythe County and strategically located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Southwest Virginia. Close to Roanoke and Washington, D.C., both Wytheville Virginia and Wythe County have much to offer, including a wide variety of activities year-round.
Wythe County has been known as an agricultural county in the past; however, in recent years manufacturing operations have become increasingly important due to the interstate highway and rail
transportation network. The past two decades have seen the area building the foundation for progressive industrial development.

Concerts in Withers Park, Relay For Life, numerous flea markets and car shows, Chautauqua in the Park, Lions Club Carnival, Rural Retreat/Wythe County Fair and lots more.
Fishing is popular at New River Trail State Park; Cedar Springs Fish Farm, a scenic 500-acre working trout farm; Cedar Springs Sportsman Lodge, offering trophy trout fishing and a 110-acre expanse for hikers, archers and spelunkers; Cripple Creek Trophy Fishing and Rural Retreat Lake, boasting trophy fishing for muskie, northern pike and bass. The area has several campgrounds, baseball and soccer fields, horse trails, walking trails, miniature golf, abundant hunting, and much more.
